Interesting to note that despite Singapore government's
subsidies to the "restructured government hospitals", their rooms
charges are still alot more than "Private" Hospitals in Hong
Kong.
Hong Kong "Private"
Hospital: SGD 87.72 - SGD 107.21 (HKD 450 - HKD 550 per day) [SGD
1.00 = HKD 5.13]
3 bedded room with: electric bed, colour tv, shower, toilet and
telephone

Singapore Government
"Subsidised" Hospital: SGD 160.50 per day
4 bedded room with: electric bed, colour tv, shower, toilet,
telephone and choice of meals.

Don't you think there is something wrong with the way things are
run in
Singapore?
Singapore would fail more miserably if I bring in Hong Kong's
Public Hospitals for comparison.
